The (failed) ambitious plans
I asked myself seriously to write about film in the blog, but who cares ... Writer and readers happy, what else can wait.
The topic I chose is extremely complex and was shot just after watching a movie the other day, I hooked another much older film. Basically, I'm going to talk about self-sabotage , or plans that target crime 's family, in order to collect insurance money ransom or "stolen." These companies-clearly-are organized criminals in such a way that no one gets hurt, but is carried out by criminals and that the deal fails ... What
films portray this theme? I chose two, but there are more than these, I'm going to name:
1) Fargo
2) Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
start with the first.
1 º. "Fargo"
Year: 1998
Director: Joel & Ethan Coen
Starring: William H. Macy, Peter Stormare, Steve Buscemi, Frances McDormand.
The story is set in the town of Fargo, North Dakota. Said to be based on a story real, but it was just a nice argument to give it more credibility and drama to film.
Jerry Lundegaard (Macy) is a car salesman the verge of bankruptcy, which has a bright plan to recover their economic status, without recourse to their millionaire father Gustaffson Wade (Harve Presnell .) Decides that the best way to get money without asking directly to the father, would blackmail by a rescue ... But who is worth as much money as the old miser to release their tickets? Her daughter, or women of Lundegaard, Jane (Kristin Rudrüd ).

Another movie post and go ... Today's topic is the political global seventies and childhood. The movie is going to have this issue is "The fault lies with Fidel" (La faute à Fidel), French film 2006, directed by Julie Gavras . I will

The film narrates from the perspective of a 9 year old girl , the events of world politics in the '70s, with special focus on Latin America . And here many of us, as Latin American people, we will be comfortable ... not because the subject is nice (much less), but because we have very fresh yet what happened in that decade.
Well, the question is Anna La Mesa (Kervel-Bey) is a girl who lives in a house large with all the luxuries, with housekeeper and nanny and a family environment in the same conditions monetary welfare. Until one day be installed in your home an aunt and her daughter, from Spain, lying under the threat of dictator Franco .

Weigh Heavier After Pooping

This year marked the 12 th International Festival of Independent Cinema of Buenos Aires. I took the time to read every billboard, and demases cycles and ended up buying 3 innings. Now, a review of my cut festival through these three films.
Day 1: Saturday 10/04.
Destination: Hoyts Abasto. Transportation
: 60
Soundtrack: The bus driver heard for almost two hours a compilation of cumbias Paraguayan that left me on edge ... In return, violinists on the subway and River bar way Tucumán. Movie
: "The counting of damages" of Ines de Oliveira Cezar , Argentina 2009.

From my point of view, was not successful the storytelling. All too cliché, very conceptual style now ... And one can say "but how cliché can become something so abhorrent as the Oedipus?" . No looking in the plot, I say again, but the peronajes , the constitution of scenarios, the dialogues, the music ... Let's see if I'm clear: girls retro in a cool, dark, sophisticated classical music and men coming out of Soho London and saw several well ... Another movie that attracted me from the abstract (what is not?): "A girl and a woman share the same indifference from their surroundings in a resort where he is the company that abounds" . Something like that is not literal words. Now I tell them clearly what question.
The film tells the somewhat story of two women: a girl of 7 years (Karina) and a girl of 21 (Mariana - Lil Quesada Murúa ) to get married. One day, their lives intersect , when Mariana is sleeping through the grasslands to Karina. The short conversation with him Mariana generates suspicion that the baby is sexually abused by a relative. Faced with this situation, seeking to protect and immediately think with her boyfriend how to make reporting abuse. They spend the night sleeping in the car and when you wake up the next day, she was gone.

The Yankee spoke English, of course, but there was subtitles to translate what this guy said. The film has to be affordable for everyone, because surely they did not know the English were left out of these dialogues (which were not decisive, but remained part of the plot).

: "La robe du soir" , Myryam Aziza, France 2009.
This movie does not have a reason. The thing is I played my schedule to go see it and well, nothing ventured nothing gained. Again, the advertised as BAFICI "classroom events through the eyes of a girl of 12 years beginning to consider the lives of otherwise" (recurrence of the "many words, less").
"La robe du soir" is a film that combines several factors very interesting, and above all to highlight the success the director to tell the story, because that was good sense of the characters real people.
The movie tells the story of Juliette (Bellugi Kraghede Alba Gaia), a 12 year old girl begins to pierce the first periods of adolescence, with all that that implies. What about the cast that accompanies it ... they are French, nothing I say will be misunderstood or criticized, have the advantage of a beautiful language and a landscape that is a dream. To this I add the images of the film (which should have been done with some sort of yellow filter ... do not know the technical terms) and the quality of the picture.
Finally, a pop gem, with Norman spirit and a touch of je ne sais quoi . For me, it's a 4 Clare . To make matters worse, the soundtrack was made by Yann Tiersen French, what more could you want?

this year released the long awaited version of Tim Burton about the magical story of Lewis Carroll , "Alice in Wonderland" .
The film is starring Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Johnny Depp as "the hatter" Helena Bonham Carter as "Red Queen" and Anne Hathaway as "the white queen." It was released for the 3D version , since it has many special effects and animations. As British product, the film appears spoken with that accent, still taking U.S. players, as Depp and Hathaway.
In the history there is not much to tell, because it is absolutely based on the children's classic created by Lewis Carroll (both "Alice in Wonderland" as "Through the Looking Glass ). I remember when I bought the first book, I read the dedication of the first pages, and that Carroll noted that the story he had written for the daughter of a colleague. Had created a whole fantasy world for the child is not bored with history. This little girl was the daughter of the dean of Oxford, Alice Liddell.

In these few days I caught "Big Fish", "The Lives of Others", "Planet Terror" and the star of today's post "Jackie Brown" . This film was directed by one of my favorites, Mr. Quentin Tarantino in 1997. starred Pam Grier , Samuel L. Jackson , Robert De Niro and Robert Foster, among others.
For me, both "Jackie Brown" as "Reservoir Dogs" were films with which he was indebted ... I have still owe it to the second. Perhaps blinded by the brilliance of his most famous films - "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill" - never too near this production tarantinesca. Big mistake. "Jackie Brown" meets the movie's premise tarantinesco : "gonna get" . Well, I hope they have attracted this review and come to see the hidden works of Quentin, I can assure you will like.
PS: In fact, when I saw thought "this looks like Nine Queens ... a moment! Nine Queens came later! ...." .... Mhm
Suddenly he let go the string and watched four movies in three days. True, much as I did sit to see one, so I felt no embarrassment. In these few days I caught "Big Fish", "The Lives of Others", "Planet Terror" and the star of today's post "Jackie Brown" . This film was directed by one of my favorites, Mr. Quentin Tarantino in 1997. starred Pam Grier , Samuel L. Jackson , Robert De Niro and Robert Foster, among others.
For me, both "Jackie Brown" as "Reservoir Dogs" were films with which he was indebted ... I have still owe it to the second. Perhaps blinded by the brilliance of his most famous films - "Pulp Fiction" and "Kill Bill" - never too near this production tarantinesca. Big mistake. "Jackie Brown" meets the movie's premise tarantinesco : "gonna get" . Outline Of History Of Basketball
tell stories that are not
Several years ago I recommended a movie, which left waiting, like most of my recommendations, until such time that you feel like make it useful. Yesterday, after the disappointment that I took with "Planet Terror" (I will not comment on this film here, because they do not have much to say but critical ... and does not seem right with Robert Rodriguez's Sin City) I grabbed another film that was illegally obtained (copy to my flash drive from a computer): "Big Fish" , directed by the talented Tim Burton .
The film is from 2003 and boasts an impressive list of famous actors and actresses . say who the players are going to be difficult, because the story is anachronistic , constantly travel the past and present of several characters from the Bloom family. At one point, players could point to as the three members of the Bloom family:
Edward Bloom, a young man is played by Ewan McGreggor ; old, by Albert Finney .
Sandra Bloom (formerly "Templeton"): Alison Lohman begins, then take the post Jessica Lange, achieving a striking resemblance ... William Bloom
: there is a kid who plays him, but most of the time is played that role by Michael Crudup .
Then there's the great Steve Buscemi , the favorite actress of Burton, his wife Helena Bonham-Carter , the French Marion Cotillard , Danny De Vito ... up pops a young star of Disney: Miley Cyrus . A movie!
Telling the story so could be an easy story, which probably will not be easy either believe that some of what I tell them is true . Okay, it's a movie, but this is exactly what happens to Will Bloom. This boy, now an adult to be a father, a grown up with fantastic stories his father had for him. But so is what I heard, that disbelief had cracked all those stories and started asking "true version of events" . And this leads them to request face because Edward Bloom did not know another version: that counted was what had happened.
So, Will you move to France and three years pass without speaking with the father. Back when he learns that Edward had decided to discontinue the chemotherapy treatment he was doing. Now, in the last moments of life, was the time to see how much of what he had told all his life was real ...
This will be the argument the film, a fantastic journey the adventures narrated by the father in his life. I begin to explain each story would be terribly boring and nonsense , so I leave it for the moment they see the film: will help a lot of pictures that you have planned to surprise Burton. But I have to say two things. The rock musical
Just finished watching "The Wall" , the film Pink Floyd was symbol of rock in the eighties. Well, there must be a fortune teller to know that today's topic is this film, so here I go.
